Summertime, Swimtime

It is beginning to feel a lot like summer.  We invited Sawyer over for a little swim and melon.  Looking forward to many more of these kinds of afternoons.  Here's to the start of a great summer!

Disneyfun in Florida

Watching you experience Disneyworld and seeing it through your eyes... it was like it was my first time again.

From the anticipation before entering the park...  (I'm pretty sure you would have been happy just seeing the purple Winnie and Piglet cutouts on the gate!)

To meeting Mickey in person, FINALLY!

From having breakfast with the Hundred Acre Wood characters... (I'll never forget how YOU started the "Tigger Train" around the restaurant and other kids followed you)

To the awe of your first ride...

And, of course, the treats that come with the Disney territory... (seriously though, five dollars for that??)

It was a perfect day (aside from Auntie Katie ending up in first aid with Bronchitis and a 103 degree fever) and though you may not remember this trip, we always will.

Thank you, Mimi and G-Daddy for the special day and for treating us to memories we will always remember.  We'll definitely be back:)

Snow Day - April 1, 2012

22 Months

Time has been flying.  So fast, that I totally forgot to take your 21 month picture (we will be ending these monthly posts once you hit two--too much to keep up with), and haven't posted about any of your adventures in the last two months! Trust me, you have had a lot!  Adventure example #1: See below picture for close up of stitches on your chin.  Here you are at 22 months, just two more short months until you are the big T-W-O!

At 22 months you are quite the conversationalist, putting together full sentences, telling us where to go and what to do (you are very bossy) and parroting everything we say (we better watch what comes out of our mouths).

We just recently put you in your "big boy room" and "big boy bed"-- so far, you are transitioning well. It helps that you get to fall asleep in sheets adorned with your favorite things--balls and hoops!  If you could play with a ball all day long, you would.  Any time you see a hoop, even from a far distance, you want to dunk.  You like facetiming with Uncle Joel just to see the hoop at his house.  You know the differences between every sport and will start "Teeny-Weeny" Soccer in July!

You still love tools.  We had our backspash installed a couple weeks ago and you are STILL talking daily about the "worker-men" and their loud tools.  You like helping daddy with projects; although your "tap-tapping" the furniture is getting a little destructive.

You are a runner, a swimmer, a tool lover, and a VERY active boy.  And yet, you still are the best smoocher and squeezer (hugger) around.  You felt your sister move yesterday, and I think it is so sweet that you keep telling me "baby move" and touching my belly and kissing it.   I love that you have a very rough and tumble side, as well as a softer, gentler side.  I pray that you will keep both as you grow, and be sensitive to the man that God is shaping you into.

I love you Mr. Liam.
