Mountain Friends

There is nothing that a little mountain air can't cure {and we needed a cure from the nonstop craziness of life!}.  Pair that with best friends, the laughter of littles, champagne at noon, good food, snow adventures, and you get the feeling that hundreds of miles and over a decade later {that makes me feel really old!} your heart can feel just like it did sitting in a college dorm room {or, in this case, a lecture hall}--knowing that the fresh-faced freshman girl next to you would become a kindred spirit.  The warmth of true friends....there's nothing like it.

Disneyfun in Florida

Watching you experience Disneyworld and seeing it through your eyes... it was like it was my first time again.

From the anticipation before entering the park...  (I'm pretty sure you would have been happy just seeing the purple Winnie and Piglet cutouts on the gate!)

To meeting Mickey in person, FINALLY!

From having breakfast with the Hundred Acre Wood characters... (I'll never forget how YOU started the "Tigger Train" around the restaurant and other kids followed you)

To the awe of your first ride...

And, of course, the treats that come with the Disney territory... (seriously though, five dollars for that??)

It was a perfect day (aside from Auntie Katie ending up in first aid with Bronchitis and a 103 degree fever) and though you may not remember this trip, we always will.

Thank you, Mimi and G-Daddy for the special day and for treating us to memories we will always remember.  We'll definitely be back:)

Beach Bum

We just got back from our second vacation of the year; this time to Newport with the Peltons.  G-Daddy and Mimi rented a beach house and we bummed around the beach, dug holes, swam in the ocean, biked to the pier, drove a duffy boat around in the Balboa harbor and had a grand ole time.  Here's a glimpse of some of my favorites from the trip:
