Field Trip - Sacramento Children's Museum

If you have a child under the age of six, I highly recommend a trip to the Sacramento Children's Museum.  Nestled in a dated office complex, we were worried that it would be a let down.   However, there was so  much for two little one year olds to do and explore and learn.  The only downside is that this place is in Rancho Cordova.  I would have signed us all up for annual memberships if it were in Roseville.  Hmmm, maybe we should look into opening something similar!

Matt and I tag teamed it with Peyton (Liam's cousin) and Liam.  They already are the best of friends, so they kept each other (and us) laughing and entertained.  There were different areas: Art Studio, Water Area, Raceways and Airways (where they learned about velocity and gravity), and a play neighborhood--with a house, grocery store, and post office.  It was a fun couple hours!

Zoo Day

On Labor Day, we took you on your first trip to the Sacramento Zoo.

You watched the "Critter Show" and saw squealing birds, a pokey hedgehog and a scary crocodile.

But soon you were distracted by your fake cell phone ringing.

You enjoyed the rides as much, or more, than the animals.

Pointing at the birds

Visiting the giraffes

The orangutans...

You loved it!
